[English below] Entre 2008 e 2009 realizei a pesquisa iconográfica para a peça de teatro “Meu Caro Amigo”. A obra trata da vida de Norma, interpretada pela atriz Kelzy Ecard, professora de história e fã número 1 de Chico Buarque. A obra do artista e a história do Brasil marcam suas memórias afetivas, experiência e trajetória pessoal. O roteiro, assinado por Felipe Barenco, foi escrito a partir dos ensaios coletivos com a equipe. A pesquisa iconográfica buscou arquivos pessoais de tantas mulheres como Norma, apaixonadas por Chico Buarque e marcadas pelo contexto histórico da repressão da ditadura militar e da posterior reabertura política do país, assim como mapeou eventos históricos emblemáticos da história do Brasil, da trajetória artística de Chico Buarque e da vida cotidiana e privada de tantos sujeitos anônimos que ficam à margem da historiografia oficial. A direção é de Joana Lebreiro, e realização do Centro Cultural dos Correios, em 2009, ano de estreia do espetáculo.
Between 2008 and 2009 I carried out the iconographic research for the play “Meu Caro Amigo”. The work deals with the life of Norma, played by actress Kelzy Ecard, history teacher and number 1 fan of Chico Buarque. The artist’s work and the history of Brazil mark Norma’s affective memories, experience and personal trajectory. The script, signed by Felipe Barenco, was written based on collective rehearsals with the team. The iconographic research sought personal archives of as many women as Norma, in love with Chico Buarque and marked by the historical context of the repression of the Brazilian military dictatorship and the subsequent political reopening of the country, as well as mapping emblematic historical events in the history of Brazil, Chico Buarque’s artistic trajectory, and the daily and private life of so many anonymous people who are on the margins of official historiography. Directed by Joana Lebreiro, and held by the Cultural Center of Correios, in 2009, the show’s debut year.
[English below] Em 2008, realizei a pesquisa de imagem para a peça musical “Aquarelas do Ary”, espetáculo em homenagem ao compositor, músico e radialista Ary Barroso (1903-1964). A peça foi realizada pela Ativa Produções e Núcleo Informal de Teatro, com direção de Joana Lebreiro e patrocínio do Centro Cultural dos Correios (Rio de Janeiro, Brasil).
In 2008, I conducted an image research for the musical piece “Aquarelas do Ary”, a show in honor of the Brazilian composer, musician and broadcaster Ary Barroso (1903-1964). The play was performed by Ativa Produções and Núcleo Informal de Teatro, directed by Joana Lebreiro and sponsored by the Correios Cultural Center (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).
